Evolve promotes competition at Marca College
Students given opportunity to compete in Fashion Frenzy competition

Sept. 4, 2009- In anticipation of Evolve’s new education show in Niagara Falls on Oct. 18 and 19, Beauty Systems Group hosted a student hair competition on Aug. 31. The new show replaces Toronto Fashion Focus, which hosts the Fashion Frenzy competition. Students at Marca competed for a spot in the second annual Fashion Frenzy’s Student Fantasy category.
“We met with Marca College back in the Spring and they loved the idea of a student competition and decided to have some fun with it. They created a competition within their own school where students could compete for a spot in the Fashion Frenzy competition,” explains Tiffanie Pitimada, BSG’s marketing manager. “The goal was to select a winner from each of the 3 Marca College locations and it was a tough job. The quality of work and the creativity the students showed was amazing.”
The three winners are: Ruchika Verma from the Dixie campus, Abby Zaitow from the Dufferin campus, and Danforth’s Conor Cafiso.
The Evolve show takes place over two days and includes a series of Look and Learn classes for estheticians, evening show presentation, business classes and hands-on workshops.
